ABOUT THE SHOW
The play centers on Cat, a young woman living in New York City. She works in HR for a pharmaceutical company. This wasn't the direction she saw her life going, but she is a bit stuck in the daily grind of working adulthood now. Cat's closest friend in New York is Ben. They have a close friendship, although Cat is very blind to the fact that Ben has feelings for her. Cat's closest female friend is her older sister and confidant, Claire. Claire lives across the country and seems to be carefree and living the dream. Claire plans a rare visit to NYC which will include a whole day with Cat. Cat keeps to herself when she is not working or with Ben. However, her busybody next door neighbor Nora makes it a point to insert herself into Cat's life. Cat puts up with it begrudgingly, as Nora probably doesn't have many other people in her life. There is a random tragic event which sends Cat into a coping spiral. In desperation, she enters a pharmaceutical trial for a drug that has the power to alter or erase specific memories. She hides this from the people closest to her. Cat realizes too late that the drug has had some serious side effects on her, sending her into an episode during one of her sessions. She ends up in the ER. She can't keep the pharmaceutical trial a secret any more. As the secret is revealed, it tests her and her relationships. Cat must face some harsh realizations to be able to move forward and choose the healthy path toward healing.

THE CHARACTERS
Cat Somerfeld – Short for Catherine. She is 28 years old and has been living in New York for 8 years. She is the head of HR at the New York office of Mavis Pharmaceuticals.
